A Lifetime of Friendship
Our House System
Common in classical schools, a House System fosters fellowship, virtue, accountability, and mentorship among students. Upon entering the school, each student is placed into a male or female House, where they remain throughout their years as a Griffin. Within these smaller communities, modeled after the early Christian communities found in the Acts of the Apostles, students build friendships across grade levels, are mentored by older peers, all in an atmosphere permeated by the presence of the Holy Spirit.
Our houses engage in service projects and competitive games throughout the year, cultivating school spirit while reinforcing the pursuit of excellence. More importantly, the House System provides a framework for the daily practice of virtue—encouraging courage, humility, and charity lived out in an intentional community. In this way, the Houses are not merely teams, but families of brotherhood or sisterhood that help form students in character and personal sanctity.
Student Clubs
Students at Saint Thomas More Academy have the opportunity to pursue their interests and cultivate leadership through a variety of extracurricular clubs. Offerings include Pro-Life Club, Speech & Debate, Chess Team, Math Team, Quiz Bowl, Theater Club, and Chapel Ministries. Whether through intellectual competition, artistic expression, or faithful witness to the Gospel of Life, our student organizations support the formation of the whole person and enrich the extracurricular life of our school.
